GOOD TO KNOW

Practical tips

Castle climb

The route is steep and cobbled. Wear shoes with grip, carry water and consider a taxi uphill if mobility or summer heat is a concern.

Osum Canyon

The canyon is near Çorovodë, not central Berat. Conditions and rafting access change by season, so confirm locally before travelling.

Where to stay

Mangalem offers atmosphere near the sights; Gorica is calmer with classic views; the newer centre is easier for vehicles and transport.
