Getting around

Buses connect Saranda with Ksamil and Butrint. A rental car or taxi gives more flexibility for the Blue Eye and smaller beaches.

When to visit

May, June, September and early October usually offer warm weather with a calmer atmosphere than the busiest summer weeks.

Where to stay

Choose central Saranda for the promenade and restaurants, or the southern edge of town for easier access toward Ksamil and Butrint.
